Abhyanga is the Ayurvedic practice of oil massage, most commonly done on oneself for the purpose of softening tissues, nourishing skin, expressing self-love, and annointing the body temple.

Oils used may be infused with Ayurvedic or Western herbs or essential oils but they can also be used straight; Sesame for Vata, Coconut for Pitta, Almond for Kapha.
